Marie, Adriana, I know. You know that's not what I mean. And you know all this anger is aimed at those other places and NEVER you guys. *HUG* I was just making the point at the lack of respect given to Erica by these so-called "fans" makes me sick. Honestly, the show had ratings trouble in Season 4 after a strong start with 4 straight Lois episodes, but in the second half of the season was really having trouble. Imagine if they tried Season 4 with just a Jason addition and no Lois. I think they'd have a hard time convincing them that the budget required would've had the potential to keep getting them more viewers in season 5. I'm just so sick of the lack of respect, so sick. And the fact that publicly DeKnight doesn't stand up for anybody. I'm just sick of the whole damn internet fandom crap. It's affected me to the point where I'd jump for joy if Chloe and her computer got hit by a bus, or if Lana fell off a skyscraper and landed on a book called "Secrets and lies", that'd I'd celebrate. I hate the people that go around deriding not just Erica's character but the real woman herself for no reason. They should all be ashamed. I'm ashamed I let them suck me into this pathetic crap. I want Smallville to be a great, entertaining show that focuses on the most important character in the universe they are based on, Superman, and in that order. Clark, Lois, Lex, Martha, Lana. Those five, in order, have precedence. NEVER should plots revolve around Chloe or even Lionel, 'cause they are not original creations that the near 70 year old legend is based in. And I'm not talking specifics, or anti-timeline "canon", I'm talking purely the characters. If this is the show of Clark Kent and those most important in his life during his growing up into Superman, then Lois, Lex, Martha, and to the least extent 'cause she was a second-gen character not from the original creators but has been around for 50 years, Lana. THEN Chloe and Lionel, show specific-characters ONLY. They can have and should have their own identities, and they should have good SUPPORTING roles, but they are NOT the focus. That's all. I don't want to run Alli or John G off the show, nor Kristin, nor anyone. It's supposed to be the story of the rise of Clark Kent and the important characters in the Superman universe, then start f'n doin' it. Quit killing momentum that is made with shipper crap and undying love to the made-up blondie character who is super everything. If they didn't learn with Lana that the miss "I do everything perfectly and am just so wonderful" makes you wanna hate somebody, well tacking on a "but I'll act like a hurt mistreated puppy" onto it doesn't make it any different.
He (and all of the writers) need to spend their time soliciting the input of the people that make the characters come to life on-screen, not idiot krapsite freaks who want people fired to get their damn way. I'm just so sick of it! I'm sick of campaigns, I'm sick of blogs, I'm sick of "high-and-mighty" attitudes on messageboards full of losers who know jack squat and could care less about attempting to ruin a nice addition to the Superman legacy by crying for it to be nothing more than a damn soap opera.
Anytime that I can help Erica by posting for her and speaking up for her, I will do it. I posted her own thoughts from her panel on what she'd like to see Lois do in Season 6 so that DeKnight could see that she has insight into her character and has a good suggestion. So maybe if he can pry all that "Chloe adn Clark kizzd! OMG! Make'mm a coulpe adn woh cares abuot anithyng esle!" crap outta his ears and focus on what actually MATTERS, developing the core Superman trio of Clark, Lex, and Lois...then maybe there's hope for the final two seasons really gelling and becoming as great as they can be. But if people like DeKnight and Peterson & Souders are gonna continue to peddle their Clark's Creek crap instead of actually listening to their talent they are writing for, then it's gonna be the same problems with streaks of great episodes interrupted and hurt by absolute bombs in between. So basically, if Erica's words herself do not have an impact and it's still the same teeny cwana chwark garbage, then what good will my opinion do? I will help Erica whenever and wherever I have the opportunity to help her. Continually subjecting myself to these selfish s.o.b.'s around this damn (not here) internet "fandom" does not help her, and does not help me. I'm done with it. If Erica needs my help and I can make a difference and help her, just let me know. But I will not let these people slander her infront of my eyes anymore.
