blogs.trb.com/network/cwsource/2006/10/smallville_writers_wanted.html#commentsThey're asking for viewers opinions on what they want to see in season 6, what direction they'd like to see the show in, what the characters should do, etc. This is a perfect place for us Lois fans to go and express not only our appreciation of Lois' character but all those things that we'd like to see for her in the season, including development, more eps, Clois, journalism, everything. And you can also express your other dissatisfactions with the show like Clark not being heroic enough, or not wanting to see Lexana, etc. I know i must be getting on ppl's nerves by now, posting about these things! lol. I'm sorry. But please, do see if you can go and post your comments here. All of you, with your wonderful posts will make a big difference i'm sure. Thankyou so much! Oh, and needless to say, we should try and be respecful, unlike the Chloiser's who will no doubt do some bashing. Lets us instead, present our case with civility and maturity.

Well so far there is no bashing, but I have a feeling it will not stay that way.

They just don't give up, do they? Don't feel bad Alexis, you're just trying to help. I'm beyond tired of bothering with them though. Honestly, could they be more desperate? Here is my hopefully last time I even bother with the subject and I even copy-pasted some of my EW thread one 'cause I feel like a broken record trying to teach an old dog new tricks. "I would like the show to be about the voyage to Superman and the canon characters who will play an important role in Clark's adult life. I do NOT want this show to be based on "whatever fanbase complains and whines the loudest and longest gets their way". I am extremely tired of the Internet fanbase that has no other goal or desire than to make the show all about Chloe, a non-canon character. And yes, she is a non-canon character and is not, was not, and will never be Lois Lane. I appreciate Claire mentioning Lois as a positive, however I cannot say the same for a number of the commentors on this blog. To me it smacks of rudeness to Allison and her work that her character of Chloe "isn't good enough" in some people's minds to stand on her own, that they think like she would have no value unless they have her "validated" by "becoming Lois". Anytime Erica has a post or a post mentions Lois on this blog, commentors attack her and scream why Chloe is better even when the post has nothing to do with Chloe, and it's very off-putting. Not to mention the endless bashing not only of the character of Lois but the actress who portrays her (Erica Durance) as is done frequently by a number of the commentors on this blog, which strikes me as very immature and sad. Back in 2000/2001 whenever it was, Smallville holds auditions and aside from canon characters they have two non-canon characters - Chloe Sullivan and Lionel Luthor. John G. gets Lionel. Allison gets Chloe. Now this is in no way meant to be disrespectful but just pointing out the obvious. Exactly how much fan-fare, how much pressure, how much mainstream media attention, how much in the way of expectations based on previous portrayals was there for the part of Chloe Sullivan? ZERO! I'm not saying it's easy to play any role in a new series which at the time it was, but the facts in the previous sentences are just that, facts. They initially wanted to do a young Lois Lane series if I recall, but DC wouldn't allow it, and when they started Smallville they wouldn't allow Lois on it at the beginning either. Prior to Season 4, when they finally got the approval from DC Comics to bring in the character of Lois Lane, they held a huge search. Proclaimed by themselves and others as the biggest role to cast since Clark. Erica won the audition and was selected as Lois Lane. Got the role on a Friday, started on that following Monday. Coming into the middle of a highly successful and now established series, a large group of "hardcore fans ie. net fans" who had already made up their minds to hate whomever got the role from the word go. Fan-fare galore, mainstream media attention, 66 years of history in the role, having movie Lois Margot Kidder guest star in the same episode Erica debuted in. All with no guarantee of a full-time show contract and slated for only the first four episodes of season 4. After being asked back for a total of 13 episodes (even uncredited in "Pariah") for season 4, Erica's now in her third season on the show, second as a full-fledged cast member, an integral part of the season 5 ratings resurgence with a Lois-centric ep "Aqua" breaking records not seen since season 1, and has done more promotion for the show in her three years than the rest of the cast combined during that time. Yet these "fans" have some twisted sense that Allison being on the show since the beginning somehow entitles her to be "Lois Lane" despite all of my afore-mentioned examples that Erica earned HER role and has been the one to deal with everything that comes along with it where as Allison has dealt with none of that simply because it is not, was not, and never will be her role. This is in no way meant on a slight on Allison Mack who is a wonderful actress and does a great job on the show as CHLOE SULLVIAN, Lois Lane's cousin. It is simply stating that she auditioned for just that, Chloe Sullvian, and the actress herself is on record as saying she wants nothing to do with this "theory". So I emplore people to listen to Allison and simply LET IT GO. Erica has dealt with everything good and bad that comes along with portraying Lois Lane and she has done it with class. " I won't bother checking back as I know they'll all get their feathers ruffled because I simply stated facts and chastized them for publicly attempting to slander Erica ad nauseum for no reason other than what I mentioned in the post that they were automatically going to hate whomever won the role of Lois Lane. From now on it's DeKnight's blog (posting comments and no reading) and pro-Erica and pro-Lois CW board threads and CW's myspace as far as "official" posting goes for me. Though as we all said that CW blog is solely an affiliate. Is there an "ignore" button on the Internet for these bozos?

Wow you guys. If you check back to that link, you'll be happy, as I was, to see more Pro Lois people there this time. I think almost every post there was talking about stopping the SuperChloe! Thats good IMO!

The Clana's are all pissed off by the advice Chloe gave to Lana in Wither. So hence more for reduction of Super Chloe.

Well alot of the comments on there seem to be about Lana and Clark becoming friends again, not really romantic, of course theres some that say they want one more romantic thing between them, but all in all I think that is one blog that I can actually read the comments and not cringe (give or take a few of the ones that say Chlois, which really is the lowest amount of posts there, go figure lol). Alot of people are fed up with SuperChloe, which is good to see.

I think even the majority of Smallville fans that are on the Internet have more desire to see a good show based on the journey of Clark Kent to becoming Superman and the journies of the people who will influence his adult life the most (Lois, Lex, and since the show is about his youth, Lana) and not a show based around a supporting character created mainly to move mystery plots along. I've found at DTS and many places that a lot of Lexana fans and even just Lana fans are quite nice and very kind towards Lois/Erica and even Clois. It's nice that people out there who may prefer a different couple or have a different favorite character can still be polite and respectful.

I'm still amazed at the comments thus far. THis is of course until tomorrow when there will probably be a flood of Chloe/Chlois comments, but I've never seen a blog that had so many anti-chloe comments lol. What a shocker.
